Choosing vegetable traits consumers prefer

Vegetable growers need to produce what consumers want. It has to taste good, look good, last awhile and be healthful. Research shows consumers will pass by the stores and lay out more money to get the veggies that are best. That makes providing the best vegetable seed at least that important, plus seed has to out produce its competitors in order to result in growers being repeat customers. Syngenta’s Laurie Boyden works to see that her company’s seed will be best for the growers’ bottom line as well as to produce the most appealing produce at the store.
