Providing TLC to stressed forages

Purdue University Extension forage specialist, Keith Johnson says that the well-being of the 2011 forage crop will depend a great deal on whether producers took steps to reduce stresses caused by past management concerns. The Purdue specialist suggests producers begin by taking a look at soil types and take soil samples. Keith Johnson says that any measures of the test that come back at critical levels or less should be given immediate attention, especially pH.
