An update on Monsanto’s drought-tolerant biotech corn trait

Monsanto’s drought and water utilization lead, Mark Edge, says the company expects to have all regulatory approvals for its new drought tolerant corn technology complete by the end of 2012. That would allow for a limited commercial launch of the product in 2013.  Edge tells Brownfield’s Ken Anderson that Monsanto is taking a “systems approach” to drought tolerance—combining improvements in genetics, technology and agronomics.
