Economist bullish on agriculture, next generation

In the course of the past decade, agriculture has borne its share of reducing federal deficit spending. That’s according to Kansas State University Agriculture Economist Barry Flinchbaugh. The pundit gives his outlook for the 2012 Farm Bill and what he sees as agriculture’s piece of the pie. He’s also very bullish on the future of agriculture, despite his view that volatile commodity markets are affected to a large extent by global politics. He encourages his students to consider a life back on the farm and talks about his reasons why.
