Attitude changing on trade pacts

There is a light at the end of the tunnel regarding free trade agreements long pending for South Korea, Panama and Colombia, according to Chris Garza, trade specialist with the American Farm Bureau Federation. Garza says there’s been a shift in attitude about the trade deals since the beginning of the year and hopes are running high that a vote can finalize them by the end of the year and perhaps as soon as summer’s end. Although there has been debate about whether they three FTA’s should go before Congress as a package or separately, Garza will only say, “It needs to happen; we can’t drag our feet anymore.”
