Vilsack at G20 Ag Ministers meeting

Agriculture ministers of the G20 nations are meeting in Paris this week in an effort to do something about global food supplies and prices. U.S. Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack hopes the meeting will result in a strong understanding of the need to focus on productivity through the use of research and development, the need to have transparency in commodity markets and a coordinated effort to do what is best for all countries in the long-term. He also hopes to address calls for the U.S. to drop our biofuels incentive programs; Vilsack says other countries need to understand the program is not just corn-based ethanol.
