Missouri Farm Family day at the State Fair

Today is Farm Family day at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia where Farm Bureau members get in at a discounted rate.

This is the first fair where Blake Hurst is Missouri Farm Bureau president having taken over for Charlie Kruse who retired as MFB president last year,

“It really is an honor for me to get a chance to recognize the farm families from all across the state. So, this is a day I’ve been looking forward to all summer so I’m glad to be here.”

One-hundred-14 farm families were chosen to participate in Farm Family day this year where they could take part in activities at the Missouri Farm Bureau Building at the fair and will be treated to dinner and a tractor pull tonight. Farmers are enjoying the cooler weather at the fair so far and despite a challenging weather year so far and concerns about yields, they are upbeat.
