Three records broken at IL Sale of Champs
The Illinois State Fair Sale of Champions that brought in $135,200 Tuesday night broke three records.
The Grand Champion Steer was sold for $51, 200, $1,100 more than the previous record. (Austin Burris of Sherman, IL).
The Brand Champion Wether sold for $3,000 more than the previous record, for $12,500. (Showman Sarah DeSchepper, Altona, IL)
The Land of Lincoln Grand Champion Barrow was sold for $10,100. That’s $100 more than the previous record (Showman AdamGradert, Geneseo, IL).
The auction benefits Illinois’ 4-H and FFA education programs.
