Website is pest management resource

South Dakota State University entomologist Kelly Tilmon says there’s a web based resource to help growers learn more about pest management in soybeans. It’s the Northern Plains Integrated Pest Management Guide.

“This is a website that has been a cooperative effort for SDSU and several other land grant universities in the northern plains,” said Tilmon, in an interview with Brownfield, “it’s cooperative effort to get you the best management and biology information on both insect and disease pests for important crops in the area.”

In addition, the guide will soon have information specific to pests in corn and wheat, added Tilmon. The guide is also available as a mobile device application to make the information available in the field.
