Feeding forages in a drought
According to the latest crop progress and condition report that came out on Monday – just 2 percent of Indiana’s pastures are rated good to excellent while 78 percent of pastures are in the poor to very poor categories. The lack of ground available for grazing is forcing farmers to look at alternatives. Purdue Extension beef specialist Ron Lemenager has some suggestions.
