Market reacts to weather, not to report
Crops in much of the Corn Belt are on the cusp of failure because of wide spread drought and heat. Although the USDA released reports Friday revealing their estimates of planted acreage and grain stocks, the market was stronger despite the USDA numbers being neutral to bearish. Brownfield’s John Perkins talked with analyst Darren Frye, the president and CEO of Water Street Solutions, to get his take on the market’s reaction and what Frye sees as the best course for producers to take going forward.
