Harness racing in Ohio

Harness racing in Ohio has had a rich tradition, but because of the lack gaming opportunities the industry declined. In its heyday though, Jerry Knappenberger, General Manager of the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association says the industry was not only significant to the state, but to agriculture as well.
