NBB applauds camelina oil as approved feedstock

The EPA has approved camelina oil as a new low-carbon feedstock under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS). Camelina is a flowering plant cultivated as an oilseed crop.  It meets the standards of the EPA’s requirements for Advanced Biofuel.

The National Biodiesel Board applauds the move saying it provides another option for producing sustainable, domestic biodiesel that “displaces imported oil.”
