Out with the old….in with the new
While the last two growing seasons have presented some real challenges for those in the seed business, Rick Batty, geneticist with Renk Seed says there have been some good things that have come out of this. For starters, the wildly-variable conditions from drought to too wet have weeded-out some underachieving hybrids. To go with that, many companies have cleaned-out all of their inventory so we have seen a whole new crop of hybrids come to the market.
