Taking advantage of shelter for cattle
A cattleman from southern Illinois has improved performance through raising cattle indoors. It’s a building open on two sides providing shade when it’s needed and sun when it does the most good. Todd Slykhuis points out the advantages of sheltering animals year round. The Slykhuis operation has its own challenges for the area where it’s located.
