Teaching through transparency

There is a growing number of farmers who are willing to put work aside when the opportunity arises to host people who may have little to no opportunity to see a working farm. There’s extra pressure when the tour group is made up of journalists and bloggers.

More than a dozen such people were hosted by Missouri Farmers Care on grain, hog and cattle farms recently in an effort to help them understand food and farm issues.
