Veteran economist notes ag outlook change

New data from the Food and Ag Policy Research Institute indicates that 2014 is bringing distinct changes to the farm sector, according to Abner Womack, co-founder of the institute and retired agriculture economics professor at the University of Missouri. The outlook, and its projections, presented to House and Senate Agriculture Committee staffers, incorporate key provisions of the new farm bill, including significant changes in the nature of federal support to the farm sector.
