Implementing the Farm Bill
Wisconsin’s USDA Farm Service Agency director Brad Pfaff is making the rounds at Wisconsin Farm Technology Days, talking to farmers about the 2014 Farm Bill being implemented right now. The top priority for Pfaff is to get dairy farmers informed about the new Margin Protection Program. FSA and University of Wisconsin-Extension are conducting a number of workshops around the state later this month and into September to help producers decide the best level of coverage for their farm.
After that, they will focus on informing farmers about the Price Loss Coverage and Agricultural Revenue Coverage programs to help them decide which best fits their farm.
