Now’s the time when producers are considering whether to keep or get rid of equipment. Mark Stock, owner of Stock Realty & Auction Company and BigIron.com, says a lot of farmers heading into retirement are considering retirement sales.  An advantage of selling their equipment online at “Big Iron,” he says, is you don’t have to sell it all at once in one day.  You can space it out one, two, even three years, “If it’s in good shape keep it in the shed. Pull it out. We can come out and take pictures, write descriptions and sell it in seasonal times, too, when you  might be able to capitalize the best return for your piece of machinery.”  Mark talked with Brownfield at his Big Iron display in the Varied Industries at Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa.
