U.W. Madison CALS to honor five

The University of Wisconsin College of Agricultural and Life Sciences will honor three leaders in Wisconsin agriculture next month.  CALS will present its Honorary Recognition award to Bill Oemichen of Cooperative Network and veterinarian Dr. Larry Smith.  The CALS Distinguished Alumni Award will be presented to Shelly Mayer, dairy farmer and Executive Director of the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin.

Two U.W. scientists will also be recognized for their distinguished service to the University: Mike Pariza and Dave Wieckert.

The awards will be presented at the CALS annual recognition banquet, October 16^th at Union South on the U.W. Madison campus.
