Wisconsin’s Implements of Husbandry Law

BladesTractor

A Wisconsin Farm Bureau director says aspects of the Implements of Husbandry Law make traveling more difficult for farmers.

Rob Walejko of Waushara County tells Brownfield the law gives farmers the ability to operate equipment within certain width and weight parameters on state roads, but doesn’t necessarily take into account the size and use of modern machinery.

He also tells Brownfield certain townships are more stringent on the rules than others, and Farm Bureau continues to work with local and state government to establish fair and consistent rules.
