Nebraska SHP farmer says ‘No-till? Yes, I Will!’

Near Springview, no-till is not a common practice. “In fact, they thought we were half-nuts when we started this,” said Deb Gangwish, who farms with her husband near that north-central Nebraska community. Despite challenges, the Gangwishes have persisted, partly for the sake of their sons who also work the soil.

“You want to see your farm go on for generations to come,” said Gangwish. “You can’t do that if you don’t take care of your resources.”
