The Army Corps of Engineers’ management of last month’s Missouri River flooding will be the focus of a Senate Environment and Public Works Committee field hearing tomorrow in Glenwood, Iowa.

Iowa Senator Joni Ernst, who will preside over the hearing, says the goal is for the Corps and local leaders to offer solutions on how to work together to prevent a recurrence of the flooding.

Among those scheduled to testify is Missouri Farm Bureau president Blake Hurst. He’ll testify on behalf of the Coalition to Protect the Missouri River.

The hearing begins at 8:30 Wednesday morning at Kaufman Hall in Glenwood.
