Drier conditions across Missouri have allowed for tillage and some planting progress. Topsoil moisture is 90 percent adequate to surplus. Corn planting in Missouri is 4 percent complete, 4 days behind normal. Two percent of the rice is planted, 6 days behind normal. Winter wheat is 89 percent fair to good, and 10 percent excellent. Pastures are 73 percent poor to fair. They’re greening up but warmer weather is needed for pasture growth. Stock water supplies are 85 percent short to adequate.
