Economist sees ‘new era of positive growth’ for livestock

Purdue University ag economist Chris Hurt predicts that the next three to five years will be very good for the livestock sector in the U.S.

“Maybe a bit of a ‘boomlet’ for the animal sector,” Hurt says. “We’re going to get back to a better balance between crops and animals here in the United States.”

Hurt discusses the reasons for his optimism in today’s Managing for Profit.
