Five tips for effective fungicide performance

Timing is everything when it comes to effective disease control, says Dave Roome, a field development technical consultant for DuPont Crop Protection. Many corn and soybean diseases have short life cycles – 7‑10 days – so if growers aren’t scouting frequently throughout July and August, disease pressure can build up quickly and growers could miss the optimal opportunity to make a fungicide application to protect yield. Roome has tips for taking proactive – and effective – action to control disease.
