It’s not just about ‘profit’

Dairy farming is a tough business, but St. Johns, Michigan dairy producer Carla Wardin says she has no regrets about leaving a corporate job and returning to her family’s dairy farm about ten years ago.

“I would never regret it, because I would never trade living next to our families…and raising my kids alongside them,” Wardin says.

We visited with Wardin at the recent World Pork Expo in Des Moines.  She was there to make a presentation for the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance.
