Will cattle herd rebuilding continue in 2016?

All indications are that the rebuilding of the nation’s cow herd has been going strong in 2015.   But will the recent swings in the cattle market dampen some of that rebuilding enthusiasm heading into 2016?

At the recent National Ag Bankers Conference in Kansas City, we discussed the cattle market situation with Ross Wilson, CEO of the Texas Cattle Feeders Association. Wilson presented the Beef Outlook session at that conference. Afterwards, we asked him about the recent market volatility and how it might impact that rebuilding mentality.
