The pace of farmer selling out of the field this fall is well behind normal as prices remain near crop insurance levels and most analysts project prices to stay fairly flat going into next year.

Jacquie Voeks with Stewart-Peterson says cash basis in the Eastern Corn Belt has been a driver of farmer selling but overall, the trend this fall has been to put grain in storage.
