CME milk, cash dairy prices closed higher Friday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were all higher Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August Class III milk was up $0.44 at $16.71.  September was up $0.54 at $17.67. October was up $0.31 at $18.22.  November was up $0.15 at $18.47.  December through June contracts ranged from two cents higher in March and May to fifteen cents higher in December.

Dry whey was up $0.0025 at $0.2525.  Eleven sales were recorded, ranging from $0.25 to $0.2550.

Cheese blocks were up $0.0625 at $1. 7825.  Six sales were recorded, ranging from $1.73 and $1.7825.

Cheese barrels were up $0.07 at $1.6550.  No sales were recorded.

Butter was up $0.0475 at $2.56.  Thirty-seven sales were recorded, ranging from $2.55 to $2.5825.

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.0150 at $1.12.  No sales were recorded.
