CME milk & cash dairy prices lower Wednesday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were mostly down Wednesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February Class III milk was down $0.40 at $18.21.  March was down $0.26 at $17.95.  April was down $0.31 at $18.20.  May was down $0.25 at $18.55.  June through December contracts range from one cent lower in August to eleven cents lower in October.

Dry whey was up $0.0050 at $0.33.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese prices fell, with blocks down $0.07 at $1.9175.  Two sales were recorded at $1.90 and $1.9175.

Cheese barrels were down $0.09 at $1.5725.  Three sales were recorded from $1.57 to $1.60.

Butter was unchanged at $2.2675.  No sales were recorded.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0025 at $1.1650.  Eight sales were recorded from $1.1550 to $1.1650.
