CME milk futures, cash dairy end week lower

Milk futures and the cash dairy markets were lower Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. 

January Class III milk was down $0.14 at $15.12.  February was down $0.09 at $15.53.  March was down $0.16 at $16.16.  April was down $0.12 at $17.00.  May through November contracts ranged from two cents lower in October to ten cents lower in May. 

Dry whey was up $0.0050 at $0.4125.  It was the only commodity that gained value Friday, but no sales were recorded. 

Forty-pound cheese blocks were down $0.02 at $1.4350.  Two sales were recorded at that price. 

Cheese barrels were down $0.0050 at $1.41.  Fourteen sales were recorded, ranging from $1.4050 to $1.4150. 

Butter was down $0.0750 at $2.5750, falling eleven cents in two days.  Four sales were recorded, ranging from $2.5750 to $2.5925.
