CME milk futures & cash dairy markets mostly lower Wednesday

Milk futures and the cash dairy markets were lower except for whey and butter Wednesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.   

September Class III milk was down $0.11 at $18.39.  October was down $0.11 at $17.75. November was down $0.07 at $17.89.  December was down $0.10 at $18.23.  January through July contracts ranged from unchanged in May to thirteen cents lower in February.  

Dry whey was up $0.0050 at $0.26.  No sales were recorded. 

Forty-pound cheese blocks were down $0.0575 at $1.89. No sales were recorded. 

Cheese barrels were down $0.0075 at $1.8050.  Two sales were recorded at $1.8125 and $1.8250. 

Butter was up $0.0150 at $2.7050.  No sales were recorded. 

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0075 at $1.1025. No sales were recorded.
