CME milk futures, cash dairy mostly down Wednesday

Milk futures and cash dairy prices were mostly lower Wednesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, erasing gains from earlier in the week.

July Class III milk was down $0.11 at $13.87.  August was down $0.41 at $14.82.  September was down $0.52 at $15.76.  October was down $0.34 at $16.75.  November through June contracts ranged from unchanged in April, May, and June to twenty-four cents lower in January.

Dry whey was down $0.0025 at $0.2250.  Fifteen sales were recorded, ranging from $0.2250 to $0.2325.

Cheese blocks were down $0.0250 at $1. 4750.  Two sales were recorded at $1.4550 and $1.4750.

Cheese barrels were down $0.03 at $1.39.  ten sales were recorded, ranging from $1.38 to $1.42.

Butter was up $0.01 at $2.4975.  Ten sales were recorded, ranging from $2.49 to $2.4975.

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.0050 at $1.0825.  No sales were recorded.
