CME milk futures, cash dairy mostly higher Monday

Milk futures and the cash dairy markets were mostly higher Monday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. 

April Class III milk was up $0.18 at $15.75.  May was up $0.16 at $16.32.  June was up $0.18 at $17.04.  July was up $0.05 at $17.72.  

August through February contracts ranged from unchanged in February to eleven cents higher in October.  Monday’s Class III trade volume was higher with 2,454 contracts. 

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.3950.  No sales were recorded. 

Forty-pound cheese blocks were up $0.0350 at $1.4275.  Seven sales were recorded, ranging from $1.4250 to $1.4450. 

Cheese barrels were up $0.0050 at $1.43.  Nine sales were recorded, ranging from $1.4225 to $1.43. 

Butter was up $0.0550 at $2.8625.  Nine sales were recorded, ranging from $1.85 to $1.8625. 

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.0150 at $1.1225.   Seven sales were recorded, ranging from $1.12 to $1.1250.
