CME milk futures down, cash dairy mostly unchanged Tuesday

Milk futures were lower and the cash dairy market was mostly unchanged with few sales Tuesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August Class III milk was down $0.09 at $17.37.  September was down $0.49 at $17.93. October was down $0.58 at $18.39.  November was down $0.61 at $18.61.  December through June contracts ranged from twenty cents lower in April and May to sixty-five cents lower in December.

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.26.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese blocks were unchanged at $1. 8625.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese barrels were unchanged at $1.83.  No sales were recorded.

Butter was unchanged at $2.6125.  No sales were recorded.

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.0025 at $1.1525.  Three sales were recorded, ranging from $1.15 to $1.16.
