CME milk futures higher, cash dairy mixed Monday

Milk futures were up and cash dairy prices were steady to lower except cheese Monday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June Class III milk was up $0.26 at $16.32.  July was up $0.13 at $16.76.  August was up $0.17 at $17.73.  September was up $0.24 at $18.54.  October through April contracts ranged from unchanged in February and March to seven cents higher in December.

Dry whey was down $0.01 at $0.2550.  Seven sales were recorded from $0.2550 to $0.26.

Cheese blocks were up $0.0650 at $1.60.  Two sales were recorded at $1.5825 and $1.5925.

Cheese barrels were up $0.0450 at $1.5150.  Eleven sales were recorded from $1.5150 to $1.5225.

Butter was down $0.01 at $2.45.  One sale was recorded at $2.4625.

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.0075 at $1.16.  Two sales were recorded at that price.
