CME milk futures higher, cash dairy mixed Thursday

Milk futures were higher and the cash dairy markets were mixed Thursday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.   

September Class III milk was up $0.37 at $18.76.  October was up $0.45 at $18.20. November was up $0.30 at $18.19.  December was up $0.16 at $18.15.  January through July contracts ranged from unchanged from March through June to fourteen cents higher in February.  

Dry whey was up unchanged at $0.26.  No sales were recorded. 

Forty-pound cheese blocks were up $0.0550 at $1.9450. Three sales were recorded, ranging from $1.90 to $1.9450. 

Cheese barrels were down $0.0050 at $1.80.  Four sales were recorded, ranging from $1.77 to $1.8050. 

Butter was unchanged at $2.7050.  No sales were recorded. 

Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.1025. No sales were recorded.
