CME milk futures higher, cash dairy mixed to end the week

Milk futures were higher and cash dairy prices were mixed Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August Class III milk was up $0.28 at $17.26.  September was up $0.35 at $17.70. October was up $0.27 at $18.24.  November was up $0.16 at $18.64.  December through June contracts ranged from unchanged in April, May, and June to thirteen cents higher in December.

Dry whey was down $0.0025 at $0.25.  Three sales were recorded at that price.

Cheese blocks were up $0.0425 at $1.9075.  Three sales were recorded, ranging from $1.89 to $1.9075.

Cheese barrels were up $0.0025 at $1.7625.  Six sales were recorded, all at $1.75.

Butter was down $0.0125 at $2.68.  No sales were recorded.

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.0125 at $1.16.  Five sales were recorded, ranging from $1.16 to $1.1625.
