CME milk futures keep falling, cash dairy mixed Wednesday

Milk futures prices continued to slide Wednesday, and cash dairy prices were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

July Class III milk was unchanged at $14.35.  August was down $0.13 at $15.04.  September was down $0.19 at $16.19.  October was down $0.17 at $17.14.  November through May contracts ranged from unchanged in March and May to fifteen cents lower in November.

Dry whey was down $0.0125 at $0.2425.  Ten sales were recorded from $0.2425 to $0.25.

Cheese blocks were up $0.02 at $1.33.  Eight sales were recorded from $1.3225 to $1.33.

Cheese barrels were down $0.0075 at $1.3825.  Twelve sales were recorded from $1.38 to $1.3875.

Butter was up $0.04 at $2.44.  Three sales were recorded at that price.

Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.1175.  No sales were recorded.
