Milk futures, cash dairy lower

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange saw lower trade at midweek pressured in part by reduced and inactive cash trade.

February Class III milk unchanged at $17.93. March eight cents lower at $17.66. April down nine cents at $17.85. May a dime lower at $18.35. June through August contracts five to 11 cents lower.

Dry whey unchanged at $0.4350.

Blocks down $0.01 at $1.88.

Barrels down $0.0175 at $1.5375. Thirteen sales were made from $1.5375 to $1.5550.

Butter down $0.0375 $2.42. One sale was made at $2.4250.

Nonfat dry milk unchanged at $1.2275.
