Milk futures, cash dairy lower

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange were lower Thursday pressured by the cash market and a higher dollar.

January Class III milk was down two cents at $15.14. February down six cents at $15.65. March down nine cents at $16.05. April a dime lower at $16.80. May through July contracts two cents higher to a penny lower.

Dry whey unchanged at $0.4050.

Blocks down $0.03 at $1.47. Two sales were made at $1.47 and $1.4750.

Barrels down $0.0275 at $1.44. One sale was made at that price.

Butter down $0.0150 at $2.5650. Seventeen sales were made from $2.5650 to $2.5775.

Nonfat dry milk down $0.0125 at $1.1825. Three trades were made at $1.1825 and $1.1850.
