Milk futures, cash dairy mixed Thursday

Milk futures and the cash dairy prices were mixed Thursday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. 

May was up $0.19 at $17.41.  June was up $0.09 at $17.64.  July was down $0.01 at $18.05. August was up $0.01 at $18.41.   

September through November contracts ranged from unchanged in November to seven cents higher in October.    

Dry whey was up $0.0025 at $0.3850.  Two sales were recorded at that price. 

Thursday was the third consecutive day with no spread for blocks and barrels. Forty-pound cheese blocks were unchanged at $1.61.   

Cheese barrels were unchanged at $1.61.  No sales were recorded for blocks or barrels. 

Butter was down $0.0050 at $2.92.  One sale was made at that price. 

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.0075 at $1.1225.  Nine sales were recorded, ranging from $1.11 to $1.1250.
