Milk futures, cash dairy mostly lower

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange were mostly lower at midweek along with the cash market as a higher dollar overshadowed the complex.

January Class III milk was unchanged at $15.16. February down two cents at $15.71. March down four cents at $16.14. April unchanged at $16.90. May through July contracts unchanged to eight cents lower.

Dry whey down $0.01 at $0.4050. Six sales were made from $0.4050 to $0.4150.

Blocks down $0.0150 at $1.50. One sale was made at that price.

Barrels down $0.0025 at $1.4675.

Butter up $0.0125 at $2.58. One sale was made at that price.

Nonfat dry milk unchanged at $1.1950.
