Milk futures, cash dairy trade higher

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange pulled to the higher side Friday supported by strong cash trade.

February Class III milk was up 25 cents at $20.70. March 35 cents higher at $21.66. April up 41 cents at $21.80. May 22 cents higher at $21.52. June through August 14 to 34 cents higher.

Dry whey unchanged at $0.8575.

Blocks up $0.02 at $1.90. One trade was made at that price.

Barrels up $0.0425 at $1.8950. Four trades were made from $1.88 to $1.8950.

Butter up $0.0475 at $2.50. Twelve trades were made at $2.50 and $2.5050.

Nonfat dry milk up $0.0225 at $1.8325. Seven trades were made from $1.8225 to $1.8350.
