Milk futures mostly higher

In Class III trade at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, milk futures were mixed, with nearby contracts higher ahead of the holiday weekend. April was up $.09 at $13.86, May was $.08 higher at $13.78, June was up $.09 at $13.78, and July was $.01 higher at $13.95.

In the spot market, cash cheese was unchanged. Barrels held at $1.45. Blocks were steady at $1.49. The last bid unfilled was on one load at that price.

Butter was up $.0025 at $1.9225. The last bid unfilled was on one load at that price. The last offer uncovered was for two loads at $1.955.

Nonfat dry milk was down $.0075 at $.725. There were two loads sold at that price and two loads sold at $.7275. The last bid unfilled was on three loads at $.72. The last offer uncovered was for three loads at $.73.
