Milk futures steady to higher, cash dairy up

Class III milk futures at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange were mostly higher on spread trade and follow through buying. October was up $.12 at $16.75, November was $.01 higher at $16.50, December was unchanged at $16.30, and January was steady at $15.90.

Cash cheese blocks were $.0025 higher at $1.7525. The last unfilled bid was on two loads at $1.7525. Barrels were up $.01 at $1.74. The last unfilled bid was on two loads at $1.74. The last uncovered offer was for five loads $1.78.

Butter was $.02 higher at $2.375. Four loads were sold, all at $2.375. The last unfilled bid was on one load at $2.36. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $2.375.

Nonfat dry milk was up $.0075 at $.835. Two loads were sold, one at $.835 and one at $.8325. The last unfilled bid was on one load at $.8325. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $.8375.
