2012 harvest nearly complete in Ohio

The 2012 harvest is nearly complete. As of Sunday, November 25, Ohio’s corn harvest was at 95 percent, 21 points ahead of last year and 5 points ahead of the 5-year average.

94 percent of the winter wheat crop has emerged, 87 percent of the crop is in fair-to good condition, a three point improvement from a week ago.

The pasture condition rating as of Sunday was 69 percent fair-to-good, another 28 percent of the state’s pastures were reported as being in poor to very poor condition.

Topsoil moisture is 15 percent short to very short, 85 percent adequate to surplus.
