71% of Illinois corn, 60% of soybeans harvested

As of Sunday, 71 percent of Illinois corn had been harvested, compared to 46 percent this time last year.

Soybean harvest is on track with last year with 60 percent completed. Soybeans dropping leaves reached 96 percent.

Sorghum harvested reached 73 percent, up 23 percentage points from the 5-year-average.

Winter wheat is 36 percent planted, down 12 percentage points from a year ago.
