76% of Ohio corn, 66% of soybeans planted

The USDA says ideal weather and soil conditions helped planting progress in Ohio last week.

Seventy-six percent of the state’s corn crop is planted, and 38 percent has emerged.

Sixty-six percent of soybeans in Ohio are planted, and 28 percent of the crop has emerged.

Ninety-four percent of oats are planted, and 88 percent has emerged.  

Seventy-four percent of winter wheat is in good to excellent condition.
